Restoration Project, Wilmslow
We are presently carrying out major restoration works on a Grade 2 listed building in Wilmslow, parts of which are over 800 years old.
The works have meant enveloping the existing building to enable the removal and replacement of the roof. In addition to this the brickwork structure of the old building surrounds an oak frame which is suffering from severe rot and settlement. This has dictated the propping of the structural frame and the replacement of major sections of the original oak.
The new heating system for the project has been designed to meet new green environmental standards, an integral part of which will be a heat pump. The installation of this pump involves drilling down to 100 metres for water circulation.
