Health & Safety
As a Manchester Quality Building Contractor Health and safety has been a high priority for Ian Martin Building Company since its formation, and as the company has grown it has increased its investment in this crucial area.
Initially it used the services of health and safety professional advisers to develop the company systems to meet the growing demands of the industry in this area. In recent years it has further strengthened this commitment through the employment of a professional Health and Safety Manager.
The introduction of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations placed greater pressures on companies to improve the planning and implementation of construction contracts with particular emphasis on health and safety.
The company is an active member of a number of health and safety bodies such as The North West Construction Safety Group and The CDM Duty Holders Support Group. These bring together the construction industry and the Health and Safety Executive, to debate and influence future legislation and improve health and safety within the industry.
Training is a key factor in ensuring a competent professional workforce equipped to meet the challenges of an ever changing industry. The company operates a very active training programme throughout the workforce. |
